Wines from the Cariñena Denominación de Origen benefit from an exceptional geographical location; the vineyards are situated where the Ebro Valley connects to the Levante region, along the north-south axis that shapes the territory of Aragon. Choosing a wine from Cariñena is a sound decision—it means opting for vineyards with truly unique characteristics. These wines are often referred to as "DO Cariñena: the wine of the stones." Cariñena is located in the Ebro Valley, spanning 14,388 hectares of vineyards. As an inland region, it features a temperate climate, characterized by cold winters and very hot summers. The Cariñena area is exceptionally well-suited for the production of red and rosé wines, as well as naturally sweet wines.
